ABOUT THE BRAND
Founded in 2015 by designer István Józsa, the YOZA brand specializes in the design and production of high-quality furniture, lighting, and home accessories. YOZA creations are characterized by a unique structural aesthetic, rooted in a deep, empirical understanding of the physical properties of materials and the processes used to shape them. Many of their products are customizable: with a range of color, material, and size options, they can harmoniously fit into characterful interiors.
ABOUT THE DESIGNER
István Józsa
István Józsa graduated in Industrial Design from MOME in 2004, and earned his second degree in Design Management in 2005. Since 2012, he has been working on developing and bringing his own product ideas to market. Following the successful launch of the VERTIGO shelving system and the ORITABLE glass table collection, he founded the YOZA brand in 2015, focusing on the production of high-quality furniture and home accessories.
ABOUT THE EXHIBITED OBJECTS
GRAVITY Regular shelving system
The character of the GRAVITY Regular shelving system is defined by the distinctive rhythm of shelf panels offset by 30 mm from one another. The height of the rows and the width of the columns in this modular shelving system are determined by the size of the shelves used. The shelf panels are available in three sizes: 31 x 30 cm, 44 x 30 cm, and 61 x 30 cm. The stability of the GRAVITY shelf system is ensured by extremely rigid metal connectors, which link the shelf panels in a grid-like structure. The result is a high load-bearing yet lightweight and open system, which can be placed either against a wall or used as a free-standing room divider.
