ABOUT THE BRAND
Econor Design is a furniture brand founded in 2020 and based in Gyöngyös, Hungary, dedicated to giving new life to discarded materials while promoting the principles of the circular economy. All products are made from fully recycled and recyclable materials through waste-free manufacturing processes. The brand is defined by geometric forms, bold colors and a modular approach, focusing on sustainable furniture solutions for community spaces, family-friendly environments and outdoor settings.
ABOUT THE DESIGNER
Nóra Sándor-Dávid
Nóra Sándor-Dávid is an industrial product and furniture designer whose approach is shaped by a close relationship with nature, growing up at the foothills of the Mátra Mountains. Her thesis focused on a Hungarian innovation in recycled PUR insulation foam, which later became the foundation of Econor Design. Her work combines circular thinking, education and human-centered design, aiming to demonstrate how discarded materials can be transformed into meaningful, high-quality objects.
ABOUT THE EXHIBITED OBJECTS
Babák collection
The Babák collection of solid wood side tables is a key element of the brand’s identity, shaped by both craftsmanship and the human hand. First introduced in 2020, the collection was reimagined in 2024 with softer, more organic proportions responding to international trends. Made from reclaimed shipping container pallets and finished by hand, each piece bears visible marks and fingerprints, embracing wabi-sabi imperfection. Recycled composite stone tops enhance durability, making every table a unique, sustainable object shaped by use and touch.
