ABOUT THE DESIGNER
Dora Eiler
The work of Dora Eiler goes beyond the traditional concept of ceramics: experimentation, the meeting of materials, and the pushing of boundaries drive her practice. Clay is an ancient material that demands respect, one humanity has tried to tame for millennia − through her narrative objects she continues this dialogue, using alternative firing techniques and bold material choices.
“An object can be more than its mere function. It does not serve only as a tool; it lives in space with us.”
ABOUT THE EXHIBITED OBJECT
MOD No.3 Console Table
The MOD No.3 console table is inspired by a popular childhood game. Beyond its functionality, the table seeks to evoke the playful spirit and sense of discovery. It aims to recreate this nostalgic moment, bringing a touch of carefree joy to any space. It is the product of a small community’s collaborative effort: the ceramic elements are designed and handcrafted by Dora Eiler using a simple hand-throwing technique, while the wooden components are created by a traditional two-person carpentry team.
