Hungarian design industry manufacturers may apply to the Product LAB competition with a development plan for a new product or product line based on their own concept, with the involvement of a designer. To be eligible, the product must be ready as a prototype by the end of the implementation period and further developed into a pilot-run item during the sustainability phase, making it suitable for future market launch. Following Creative LAB and Game LAB, this call is the third pillar of our incubation programme launched to support the competitiveness of creative industry enterprises.
Manufacturers operating in sectors such as textiles, furniture, ceramics, glass, or lighting technology can submit their applications for the HUF 90 million programme until 6 March 2026. Submitted concepts must combine the tools of contemporary product design with the values of Hungarian industrial and artisanal traditions. It is also important that the designs are practical for everyday use and accessible to a broad audience. At the same time, a key consideration is the integration of modern sustainability principles.
Our programmes offering comprehensive professional support were launched following an extensive industry survey and tailored to the needs of businesses. In this way, they provide businesses with professional and financial support from the initial creative idea, through development, to market launch. Accordingly, within the framework of Product LAB, in addition to financial support ranging from HUF 5–15 million, manufacturers also receive professional mentoring covering product positioning, brand building, communication, and business planning. Our programme aims to support exemplary projects that can strengthen the market competitiveness of Hungarian design industry businesses and, in the long term, enhance their international presence and export potential.
Submitted applications are evaluated according to a unified set of criteria by a Professional Advisory Board composed of renowned industry experts. Based on their assessment, the Jury decides on the allocation of funding.

Creative LAB At the end of November last year, we launched our Creative Lab incubation programme, offering comprehensive professional support to domestic creative industry distributors. With a total budget of around HUF 220 million, the programme aims to foster the creation of serially producible and competitive products or product lines in design, fashion, beauty, and formula-based categories, through collaboration between distributors and creative professionals. Game LAB In January 2026, we launched the Game LAB programme, a dedicated call for domestic digital gaming companies, with a total budget of HUF 90 million. This is one of our first tenders specifically targeting the domestic digital gaming industry. Its aim is to support the development of new, commercially viable online games in early access or demo versions for release on the world's leading gaming platforms, enabling applicants to enter the market.
