Talent Management and Musical Inspirations Shape the BCEFW AW2627 Season

Budapest Central European Fashion Week (BCEFW) is returning with the novelties of the AW2627 season from 9 to 15 February 2026. Talent development takes on an even more prominent role with the introduction of a new category, while this year’s campaign focuses on the creative interplay between fashion and music. However, the event remains a complex professional platform, providing exposure for well-established brands besides young talents in the Catwalk, Self-Organised, BCEFW Showcase, and Conscious by BCEFW categories.

A Stronger Focus on the New Generation

 

Supporting young designers has been one of BCEFW’s main missions from the beginning. The Young Talents and New Generation collective shows have provided prominent exposure for emerging artists for years. In the BCEFW SS26 season, the graduation collections of MOME and METU’s final-year students brought a new perspective to talent development initiatives, further strengthening the pipeline of emerging professionals and enhancing the visibility of the next generation.

 

In the AW26/27 season, this mission expands with a new chapter: the NEW GENERATION INDIVIDUAL SHOW will debut, offering a standalone showcase opportunity for those brands that have outgrown collective concepts and are ready to realise their own runway vision. The category further strengthens BCEFW’s role in the regional fashion scene as it provides the most promising new generation with targeted professional attention and brand-building opportunities.

 

The Dialogue Between Music and Fashion

 

Each season, we create a new aesthetic world to promote domestic fashion. The central theme of the AW2627 campaign is music, which not only serves as a mood element but also as a source of inspiration. In the campaign photos, the garments come to life in the presence of musical instruments and musicians, creating a visual environment where rhythm, dynamism, and emotional intensity speak the language of fashion.

 

The photoshoot’s venue was the legendary Fészek Klub, an iconic meeting place for Hungarian artistic life for decades. The atmosphere of the special location provided an ideal backdrop for a narrative in which music and fashion mutually inspire each other. The campaign’s concept also reflects Hungarian musical heritage: some of its elements evoke the dramatic world of Ferenc Liszt and the experimental sounds of György Ligeti.

 

BCEFW AW2627 will be a key event of creativity and cultural connection again this year, where new collections by young talents and Hungarian and regional brands will be in the spotlight. Further details are coming soon.
