This year, the Hungarian Fashion & Design Agency (HFDA) is once again providing a platform for emerging Hungarian fashion designers before the holidays. Under the Young Talents programme of the Budapest Central European Fashion Week (BCEFW), young creators can showcase at the Design POP–UP by ELLE event. Held from November 21 to 23, the pop-up is one of the most exciting meeting points for the Hungarian fashion scene in the autumn, where customers can get to know the new generation of designers in person.

A key pillar for the operations of both the Hungarian Fashion & Design Agency and Budapest Central European Fashion Week is consistently supporting and presenting young designers. In the previous season of the fashion week, the presentation of graduate collections received outstanding professional attention, placing a strong spotlight on the next generation. The HFDA aims to familiarise the domestic audience with new creators and make them visible and accessible through events that create a real connection between designers and those interested in fashion.

Design POP–UP by ELLE generates exactly this dialogue: a direct and inspiring environment where visitors, whether as shoppers or curious observers, can meet young talents in the impressive setting of Il Bacio di Stile.

From 21 to 23 November, in addition to the fashion shows, the pieces of four young designers – Zsuzsanna Birtalan, Réka Márton, CHOKASSY, and Valentin Szarvas – will be available in the Design POP–UP by ELLE selection.

This year’s exhibiting designers:

ZSUZSANNA BIRTALAN

Her work is characterised by nature-inspired patterns and soft, organic knitted structures. Her collection, “Calm of Szürkő Island”, represents the escape from urban noise and the feeling of peaceful retreat in wearable, embracing forms.

RÉKA MÁRTON

In her “My Own Rich Man” collection, she reinterprets the distinctive, classic male silhouettes from a female perspective. The strong lines and sculptural forms are visual expressions of female strength, independence, and inner stability.

CHOKASSY

Her collection, “Earthly Delights”, was inspired by Hungarian artisanal traditions and the closeness to nature. The gathered forms, structured materials, and carefully crafted details evoke the harmony of abundance, roots, and sustainability.

VALENTIN SZARVAS

Interpreting clothing as an extension of personal space, he creates layered, delicate structures. His collection, “BÚJJ-BÚJJ ZÖLD ÁG”, explores themes of rebirth, fragility, and emotional release through lyrical, translucent fabrics.

Like last year, the collaboration between BCEFW and Design POP–UP by ELLE will once again give Hungarian fashion a new perspective. It offers an opportunity to discover personal stories and for the Hungarian audience to explore and purchase from the creators who will shape the future of fashion firsthand.
