The 17th edition of Budapest Central European Fashion Week (BCEFW) is underway, placing Budapest in the spotlight of the Central European fashion industry until 15 February with side events across the city and, in the second half of the week, with catwalk shows taking place at iconic venues. On the runway, besides the models, renowned fashion industry players, muses, and defining figures of the profession will also diversify the event, further elevating its exclusive atmosphere.

At the event organised by Creative Hungary, alongside Hungary, designers from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Slovenia, Serbia, Armenia, Romania, and Ukraine will also debut. Altogether, over 40 Hungarian and international designers will unveil their 2026–2027 autumn-winter collections.

This year, fashion week will once again bring the world of fashion to various locations across Budapest. More than 50 side events – studio visits, workshops, and professional discussions – welcome visitors, allowing everyone to experience fashion according to their own interests. Creative Hungary aims to promote Hungarian designers, strengthen the international visibility of Hungarian and regional brands, and build sustainable professional and market connections between the countries in the region. The main shows will take place between 13 and 15 February at two iconic venues. On Friday, emerging designers will debut at Apollo Gallery, in a contemporary artistic setting, next to the monumental creations of József Gaál. On Saturday and Sunday, collections by domestic and international brands with established market presence will be in the spotlight.

On the catwalk, celebrities, muses, and exclusive guests will also appear alongside the models, including Vanessza Csíki, Móni Balsai, Rebeka Kárpáti, Réka Tenki, and Janka Végvári. We have also invited renowned models and fashion industry players who have contributed to establishing the Hungarian fashion industry. Thus, Ganna Smugilova, Myra Cseh, Nelli Tombor, Krisztina Bútor, Andrea Horváth, Edina Kátai-Pál, and László Hajas will also participate in the event.

French hairstylist Kevin Jacotot provides an international professional focus, showcasing contemporary hair trends on the runway. Additionally, several international journalists and buyers will attend the event to discover the regional collections first-hand.

The Fashion Hub will take place in the Schickedanz Hall of the Museum of Fine Arts, offering visitors presentations by young designers, creative workshops, and professional and inspirational discussions. The space also functions as a design fair and professional showroom, offering business points of connection for designers and resellers.

BCEFW, running from 9 to 15 February, is open to both industry professionals and the general public, further reinforcing Budapest’s role as a Central European creative hub, while fostering visible connections between designers, industry decision-makers, and market players.
