During the 15th anniversary edition of Budapest Central European Fashion Week (BCEFW), besides the collections of outstanding domestic and regional fashion designers, exciting side events will enliven the capital from February 10th to 16th, 2025. This year, the event series awaits visitors with more diverse and interactive programmes than ever and a record number of events in 12 districts of the capital in nearly 50 locations throughout Fashion Week.
The side events during the 15th BCEFW will again offer captivating programmes all around Budapest, covering almost all areas of the fashion industry, connecting the different fashion centres, most important stores, and cultural spaces of the city as a creative axis. Fashion Week events span the entire capital, bringing together the exciting, exclusive, and alternative venues of 12 districts. The programme series will take place in 45 locations, surpassing last year’s record of 40 side events.
This year, the Fashion Map will again help you navigate BCEFW side events placed in different locations of the capital. Besides the printed version, it will be available digitally during the event. In addition to serving as a compass, the map engages visitors playfully and interactively, drawing them into Budapest’s vibrant fashion scene. With the help of the map, the audience can plan their Fashion Week experience in a personalised way. Thanks to the 50 events, every participant can find the programme that interests them the most and freely discover key players in the Hungarian and Central European fashion scene, showrooms, designer stores, pop-up events, and inspiring professional programmes.
The seven-day event calendar features more than 20 showroom visits and individual designer presentations, showcasing brands’ new collections and the behind-the-scenes of the design process. The open workshops and showrooms will provide an exclusive opportunity for fashion enthusiasts to meet the designers in person. As part of the side events, more than 10 pop-up events and fashion shows will enrich the week, taking place in venues with a special atmosphere following unique concepts. Under the professional programmes, eight workshops and six roundtable discussions will take place on the current topics of the fashion industry, addressing sustainability, digital innovations, and global trends. The invited speakers include renowned professionals, brand owners, and industry players.
Fashion Week is complemented by vibrant social events: five exclusive champagne toasts, VIP parties, and professional networking events will provide an informal setting for Hungarian and international fashion world representatives to connect. This season, side events cover all aspects of contemporary fashion, including upcycling and zero-waste design methods, connecting digital and artisan techniques, and vintage and second-hand. This year’s theme also emphasises the intertwining of fashion and connected arts, be it jewellery design, interior design, or fashion photography. Participants can discover the latest trends with the help of local and international designers and even acquire unique pieces at premium second-hand markets or exclusive showcases of archived collections.
Although many events are open to the public, some programmes require prior registration or an invitation. You can find the detailed schedule and related information on BCEFW’s official website and the participating brands’ own platforms.
