Excellence in the Creative Sector Awarded Across Nine Categories
Jelentkezési határidő: 2026/03/08 00:00
In addition to the Audience Choice Award and the Lifetime Achievement Award, professionals from the creative sector may submit their entries in seven different categories to the Central European Creative Awards launched by Creative Hungary. The award recognises outstanding achievements in the fashion, design, beauty, and gaming industries, evaluating not only visual quality but also innovation, the standard of technical execution, as well as regional relevance and social impact.
The new regional award responds to the diversity of the creative industries. Alongside established creators in the fashion, design, beauty, and gaming sectors, the Central European Creative Awards also opens opportunities for emerging talents and for creators working across the countries of the region.
The application system is complemented by an Audience Choice Award: shortlisted entries will be presented through a public voting process, allowing interested audiences to actively participate in selecting the awarded works.
In addition to the main categories, a Lifetime Achievement Award will also be presented at the award ceremony. This distinction recognises creators whose work has generated lasting and enduring value within the Central European creative scene.
Applications may be submitted in the following categories until 8 March 2026:
- The Fashion Design of the Year category addresses professionals in the fashion sector who have been active on the market for at least five years, and whose work is characterised by a distinctive design identity, high-quality execution, and responsible operation. Submitted entries may consist of a clothing or accessories collection of a minimum of 3-5 pieces, created after 1 January 2023.
- The Product Design of the Year category invites submissions of objects related to domestic culture – such as furniture, lighting solutions, or other design products – that represent a high standard both in form and function, are technically well-founded, and stand out not only for their visual qualities but also for their durability and market relevance.
- The Gaming Graphic Design of the Year category focuses on visual works related to game design, including the visual worlds, user interfaces, and graphic concepts of video games, board games, or prototypes. Individual graphic designers, studios, game developers, or teams may submit entries in this category.
- The Beauty Package Design of the Year section, created for beauty industry businesses, recognises packaging designs of domestically manufactured cosmetic products that stand out through creative solutions and technical quality. During the evaluation, the jury also takes into account the aesthetic quality of the packaging, user experience, as well as sustainability and regional production considerations.
- Supporting the next generation of creative industry professionals is a key priority for Creative Hungary; therefore, emerging talents receive special attention within the competition. The Young Talent of the Year category awards the best conceptual or object-based works by students of Hungarian design and art education programmes, as well as recent graduates. In this section, the jury primarily looks for originality, bold material experimentation, and a progressive approach.
- The Collaboration of the Year award highlights the power of collaboration and is granted to collective projects created through the cooperation of at least two creative actors, such as brands, manufacturers, designers, galleries, or non-profit institutions. The focus is on innovative approaches, jointly created value, and professional and social engagement.
- The award structure also includes a regional category. The CE Award provides an opportunity for creators from Central European countries (Austria, the Czech Republic, Croatia, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, and Slovenia) to compete. In this section, individual applicants, businesses, organisations, or creative communities may apply. The submitted works must reflect the local cultural context and represent a high professional standard within any field of design, fashion, gaming, or the beauty industry.
Don’t miss the opportunity! Apply in one of the categories and become part of the Central European Creative Awards.
